Keyless Entry System
Keyless entry systems can be the ideal way to protect your rental property without having to use physical keys. These systems allow guests and tenants to enter the building using a code, or by using their smartphones. They can also be integrated with intercoms that provide audio and video communication offering different ways for people to gain access to the building. Some keyless entry systems run on cloud that allow them to be controlled remotely and provide more advanced features.
You can install a keyless entry system in any kind of property, whether it is commercial or residential. The hardware should be installed at each entryway. The system then needs to be operated and controlled via central consoles, or a smartphone application. According to Technavio, the global keyless entry market is expected grow at a CAGR between 2016 and 2022 of 11.8 percent. The growth in the market is attributed to the increasing demand for security systems for commercial vehicles.
Many people are afraid of being locked out of their homes Therefore, they keep a spare key in a safe location. However, this practice can pose a serious security risk due to the fact that criminals are aware of the places people store their keys and are able to find them. To prevent this from happening, you should have an entry system that is keyless in your home. This will prevent you from ever being locked out of your home again.
Transponder Chip
The transponder, or "chip key" is a microchip that is located in the head of your car keys. It's one of the most important security layers for your vehicle. The term "transponder" originates from the combination transmitter and responder. This is because, after the key has been inserted into the ignition, and the key turned into the ignition, the antenna of your car transmits radio frequency energy to the transponder chip. The chip responds by sending its own unique identification code to the ring that is attached to it and the car's computer can then discern that code and determine whether or not it is a genuine key.
The key must be a transponder key to start the car, if it's not, the vehicle will be immobilized. The chip is protected with an extra layer of polycarbonate which prevents it from being copied or cloned using regular mechanical keys. Beishir Lock and Security offers an extensive range of transponder keys at a fraction of the price of car dealers.
Transponder chips first began to gain popularity in the 80's, when GM introduced them in the Corvette. This technology significantly reduced vehicle thefts since it made hot-wiring a thing of the past. This is the simplest explanation of the chip key. Immobiliser System
The engine immobiliser system (also called the anti-theft) is a crucial aspect of your car's security. When you insert your key into the ignition switch or Smart Key fob, the transponder chip inside will send a code to your vehicle's Electronic Control Unit (ECU). The ECU checks that the code sent by the chip is identical to the code stored in it and then it allows the engine to start.
This is the principal way that your car's immobiliser prevents theft. If the code inside the chip doesn't match the code in the chip, the ECU stops the flow of current to the fuel pump relay and the injection system, keeping the engine from getting started. Additionally, the immobiliser might disable the starter motor as well as the ignition coil, preventing the engine from being started by force.
Unfortunately, this system is not foolproof. The code that unlocks the immobiliser in your car could be hacked by thieves and used to start it. The latest versions of the systems use more cryptographic codes that will make it difficult to determine.
Car immobilisers are required since 1998 but many cars had basic immobiliser systems before that. Although an immobiliser makes it more difficult for thieves to steal a car, it does not hinder thieves from towing the vehicle away or breaking in to steal your belongings.
Key Replacement
Losing a remote, key or fob is costly and frustrating. A locksmith will need to gain access to the car and decode the VIN and then reprogramme the new replacement to remove any signatures from the computer for all of keys that were lost or stolen.
If your car comes with an integrated security chip, also known as a transponder, which is in the key, this can make a replacement much more costly. These chips send a signal to the car that verifies your identity as a driver, and permits the doors to be opened or the engine to start. The average cost for a replacement smart key is approximately $160.

ABUS recommends that you sign up your key code as soon as possible after purchase. This will allow you to order spare keys or more keys in the future. This is done by entering your Key Code on the checkout page and selecting CANADA as your shipping country. You can also register keys based on images of your spare keys taken at specific angles.
